Whilst the initial impact of Mayfield Park comes from its impressive scale and urban setting, the success of user experience comes from the painstakingly considered detailing within the site, across the many junctions and interfaces.

At Layer.studio we like to zoom in and get to the real nitty gritty parts of a project.
From the orientation of paving units to the concealed balustrade fixings, all elements of geometry were considered at every aspect, scale and plane. There was no stone left unturned and no detail left unresolved.

In response to the dynamic working environment and live construction site, while preparing drawings for fabricators and developing details for construction, on-site queries led to live developing by the means of hand sketching and workshops. These sketches were then evolved into a series of construction drawings for client review.

A process of forensic quality control, client review and design coordination meant that every detail was considered and executed to the very highest standard bringing the innovative concepts to a site reality and delivering the project vision on the ground.
